You Want Your Home To Smell Amazing!

The smell of your home whilst on the selling market is just as important as styling.

Smell is the first sense engaged when you open the front of a home. As a result, it plays a huge part in how you respond to a property.

Make your home smell divine to entice your buyers but remember to keep it subtle:

  • Deodorise your rugs and carpets
  • Simmer a pot of boiling water with cinnamon sticks, orange or lemon peel, or a few drops of vanilla essence
  • Bake some bread or cookies before inspections
  • Light a candle
  • Buy a room spray
  • Treat your sink and rubbish bins with bicarb soda
  • Purify the air in your home with air-purifying indoor plants
  • Fill a vase with fresh flowers (gardenias, roses, oriental lilies, lavender, or even eucalyptus leaves)

You don’t want to overdo it on any fragrance. If you are using a scented candle or oil burner, turn it off 30 minutes before the inspection begins.
